"Broken" NCAA gameplay compared to MADDEN...

For those who have played both NCAA and Madden, can anyone give some comparisons? I bought NCAA and had MAJOR issues with the gameplay, which rendered the game "broken". Regretting my purchase, I cannot allow myself to be uninformed before making my decision with Madden. My main complaints in NCAA were "suction blocking", impossible to defend middle of the field on pass plays, kickoff returns never going less than 30 yards, QB drop back "floaty", easy to pick apart middle of field on offense, and probably the biggest, the overall sluggishness of the defenders.

If anyone would be kind enough to compare how madden handles these parts of the gameplay, I'd be very grateful, as it will determine if I'm playing NFL football this year. Thanks in advance!
