I play at the strong/free saftey position most of the game, as they are probably the best positions to make plays at in football IMO.

For years, the lack of an "All-out-attempt-to-intercept" button has killed me. I know there is one separate button from Swat, but its a crapshoot sometimes.

In NFL 2K5 (sorry, but I had to), if you got into great position, or actually READ ROUTES, and jumped them, you could press the button, and your controlled player would attempt to catch the ball.

Whether it was a Jump Int., off of a bobble, or off of a tip, you were rewarded by playing great D. Madden never has felt this way, because most of the time he doesnt reach the right way to intercept the pass.

Btw, playing reciever has screwed me sometimes too, with it not having a Jump Catch button...

Anybody feel me on this?

Not sure what you mean here. The Y button seems to work ok for me most times.

How many INTs a game do you want? Fumbles seem to be fixed this year, but i'm still picking off the CPU 4-7 times a game every game.

i havent had a problem.

i usually play with the safeties on cpu passing plays. some plays ive blown coverge and others i either swat or intercept. last time i played i intercept 2 balls with ko simpson thrown by bret favre. the other i caught with brian dawkins on a badly overthrown ball by jason campbell.

so my advice would be timing. u just gotta know how to time your jumps or whatever u plan to do with the safety.

I hear ya kinda, even though I think its okay playing saftey.

I was always frustrted with the fact that if you control the WR, the only animation you have is the stick your arms out one. Ive never been able to manually make a jump grab in madden.

Im not sure I fully understand what you mean here, but I've been having trouble with my safety online. Against the computer, I time the catch much better.

I follow you as I feel your pain. I have the same issues.

Doesn't help that you can't use the sprint button and jump to catch a ball at the same time. Not sure why EA doesn't allow it but it doesn't work.

You have to beat the WR to the spot, wait, and then hit the jump button at the right time.
