oh and progression is broken, especially when you have so many complaints about it. i dont hear any complaints on NCAAs progression or NBA 2k8s progression.

oh and i had a franchise where Marc Bulger won MVP, but he didnt progress. he stayed 89 overall. explain to me how a player can win MVP and stay at 89 overall with no form of improvement????????

oh and if 1300 yards rushing with 4.5 yards per carry isnt validation enough for improvement, then tell me why Clinton Portis is a 91 overall in madden when he had 1200 yards rushing with about 3.5 or 3.7 yards a carry?????

Is this over yet? Everyone can have different points of view on progression. Maybe there are potential ratings, maybe there is a cap (meaning EA thinks that a certain player isnt better than a 85 so he cant/wont progress pass that).

That was my original point and my line of thinking. Fargas is 28years old and an 85OVR. As I said before....how much better do you expect a 28 year old RB to get???

So is it really true that if you edit a player, he won't progress? Or, is it just possible that the player who was edited wasn't going to progress anyways?

Since McFadden appears to always progress, could someone edit him and see if his progression stops?

Please. Would you say that Shaun Alexander was better in '07 than Maurice Morris (in real life)? By your rationale, Alexander should have automatically been better in '07 just because he had a great year in '06. Never mind that he was old and worn out. The progression "issue" you've brought up in this thread is called "realism." You're just too anxious to complain to realize it.
