yes it is true. i haven't used DMC as a guienea pig just yet.. but i edited Josh Morgan on the 49ers and had a pretty good season as a wideout and he didn't progress one bit.

just a question. wouldn't this just be for the current progression period? I just started a franchise with the Lions (don't laugh) and even before I started teh game I looked at peoples progressions and my RB Kevin Smith is already gained an overall +1. I havent played the game yet. I am thinking that DMac just may have started the last few games and just progressed. its possible

Yeah I think editing players does make it so they don't progress at all. I gave McFadden a visor at the beginning of my franchise and put him 1st on the depth chart. I simmed 2 seasons and both seasons he made it to the pro bowl, but he didn't progress a single point. Every other sim I did he progressed 3 points the first year.

So yes it looks like editing players stops progression.
