Hot Route Passed First Down Marker?

I remember reading in a review that you can change a receiver's route so that it is enough to reach the first down marker, like in previous versions. I can't figure out how to do it (PS3).

click the right stick on the hot routes menu, doesn't work on some routes though

click [triangle], then select the receiver. Next click [R3]. it's a nice feature!

Well on the 360 you have to press the RS after selecting the receiver....So I'm guessing it's the same for the PS3?

Hot Route -> Select Receiver -> Smart Route

I have to click the right stick for a Smart Route on the 360. I don't know what it is for PS3.
