Madden IQ - Yay or Nay?

This one is pretty simple... Do you like Madden IQ, or not? Do you think it is serving it's intended purpose?

I, for one, really want it to work... But it's not. I cannot run the football at all, and after about 5 games run offense goes low enough for me to have a good game. Then, after that good game, I'm back into "Can't run at all" territory.

I really want to use the Madden IQ, but I don't think I'll be able to much longer.

What do you think? Yay or nay for Madden IQ?

That's a BIG Nay for me! It's not serving it's purpose. It's more of an annoyance than anything. Like you said, I can't run the ball for nothing using my skill setting.

Re: Madden IQ - Yay or Nay?

I think Yay.

Its a great starting marker per player.
Once you have your basic lvl, then you need to tweak the settings to your liking.
I tested All-Madden for rushing, and then got crushed in the game with my .5 ypc
So I changed my rushing slide down a little to help out.
I have great games that I have to fight to win, rather then easy cake.

So just use it as a starting marker for your skills

I am really enjoying the IQ, once the CPU QB accuracy gets knocked down it will be much more enjoyable.

See, it FEELS like it's just a starting marker, but I don't think it was intended to be that. I enjoy absolutely everything about the IQ except for the fact that running is nearly impossible with it on. Otherwise, it makes for a great game.

Re: Madden IQ - Yay or Nay?

i like it, i wish it just took account of what team your playing. i mean if i have a bad game against a REALLY good team ala Patriots, my IQ shouldn't go down. it should stay the same or go down very little.

but if its consistant, than it should go down. but i like it overall, very good concept, and i am having some fun games with it.

Re: Madden IQ - Yay or Nay?

I gave them an honest chance but I say Nay.

I think it is a good idea, just not executed well and needs some tweaking. I think the programmers simply didn't research what NFL passing and rushing averages are. In theory and practice, the Madden IQ should be making adjustments that will allow you and the cpu to have life like rushing and passing stats and it just isn't doing that.

I switched to Custom sliders tonight and it made a HUGE differnce. Already I am getting close to realistic stats and with some additional mild tweaking I think this game is going to play fantastic for me. When I used the Madden IQ the game wasn't fun or realistic and I wasn't enjoying the game at all. Now that I have switched to the manual sliders this game has taken on a whole new feel to it, and in a good way. It is a really good, fun game now and when the next patch comes out it will probably be the best football game I have played in years, or ever.
