why is the game so dark PS3? and its not my TV

nah i have standard, vivid, and custom options...vivid makes it super bright, almost blueish, but players are still dark and theirs a noticetable white line around players arms. on custom, it is my calibrated setting from firefox, but its still crappy. theres gotta be a setting in my PS3 that isnt set right.

btw: i have a 40in SONY BRAVO 1080p.

I'm on 360, and I have the shadow problems. It's just the way the game looks- it's not a game killer or anything, just sort of dark unless the players are hit by light.

If you have your PS3 Display Settings to RGB-FULL this will cause your picture to become darker. Setting your PS3 Display Settings to RGB-Limited should help.

I have a PS3 on a plasma with my user defined settings (on TV) deliberately set to lower brightness and contrast cuz I'm a stickler for burn-in ... the game is perfectly bright.

(I have the connection on HDMI though which could be a difference).

Yep, you should only use that if your TV supports RGB Full. Also turn off Super White if it is on unless your TV supports it as well.
