I was after the first drive after that I was trying to get the game over with by running the clock because it was an unbearable pain to try to stop.

This is so frustrating. I've purchased the last ten Maddens on release day and every single year there are major glitches and bugs. The sad thing is that I'll buy it next year too...

I just don't understand how EAs quality control folks can miss so much so often. What's even more annoying is that these user-discovered bugs are found within the first couple days.

I'm convinced the people at EA only play each other and not the CPU. The CPU AI is so FUBAR in so many ways. When I play this game 1 on 1 with my buddy, it is absolutely great. This would be fine if the online game wasn't full of exploited cheez and unbearable lag issues.

This game is tuned so that any n00b can play the CPU, and the online caters to the Madden hardcore. There is no happy medium for us straight sim-style football fans.

Why not release a free downloadable full-game beta that expires after a week or so? Then EA could include a feedback feature for these saved replays of bugs that automatically reads the difficulty and other important settings. Let us users efficiently show you the problems EA obviously can't find on their own, instead of these fly-by-night forum thread examinations. Or, just patch 09 to the hills, and finally give yourself a two year dev cycle to get this all right...


That being said, the gameplay control and presentation is frickin awesome this year, and this game is a ton of fun when things aren't buggy. We don't need any more major changes or redesigns, just tweaks.

I love how when I make a thread just like this it gets closed and they tell me to bury it along in the Bugs thread along with all the other people crying about players socks. I reported this a longggggggg time ago.
