Blocked field goals and punts??

Is anybody having any success getting any blocks? I"ve been close on a couple punts but not so much on field goals. As a matter of fact i dont think i have ever blocked a FG on Madden.

Tips anyone?

I have yet to block a punt or FG.

I did in NCAA once (punt)

I wasn't controlling Patrick Kerney, but I was shocked when he actually blocked a FG. I can't remember ever seeing a blocked FG in any Madden game before that.

I blocked a GW field goal attempt with the Vikings against the Broncos. Got my middle linebacker brought him up to the line next to Pat Williams and when he snapped the ball the snapper picked up my guy and Pat Williams broke right through and blocked it.

I wasn't controlling him, but Urlacher blocked a punt for me in a "Madden Moment." Unfortunately it was the one where you have to return a punt with Hester.

Sorry, but don't ask me how I did it... I really don't know. It was only my second game of '09 and I'm still struggling without my custom controller settings ...

I've tried and tried since, and haven't managed another. I've been playing Madden religiously since 2000 and this may be my 3rd or 4th blocked field goal ever.

^^^ that sounds like what happened with me, since my DT Vince Wilfork superman dove right up the middle...
