help setting up

I am going to go get the game right now! Played it yesterday and was mildly impressed. I could see myself playing a season or two for sure. Just wanted a little help setting it up, what/who's slider's to use(sim) and are we able to not use "my skill" or whatever its called? Or is this only going to be available after patch 2? What would you guys suggest to get a franchise going, I typically play 8 min qtrs. All pro is my normal setting I use, didn't love 08' but thought the human v human was ok. I play about 99% human v cpu in franchise mode. Thanks guys!

Madden IQ is the name of what you are talking about. The game starts with a test that helps determine your level. You can disable this option from the settings once you start the game and play on regular difficulty levels i.e. rookie, pro, all-pro, all-madden.

For franchise I would say just go out and have fun my friend. I use the sliders for my 'chise also, but you could just do All-Pro if you feel that's the best route.
