Jumping over the pile?

Ok, so I have done this once already and I do not know how. I tried doing it again with the jump button and my running back just does the normal jumping animation. Is there a certain way you have to press it or a sequence of buttons to get your RB to dive over the pile?

It's not the jump button, it's the dive button!

does it only work on goalline?

Yes, I believe so but don't hold me to that. Usually you're good to do it from about 2-3 yards from the goaline.

also what happened to the dive for the first down animation they talked about in those pre-release videos

ye it only works on the goaline and it is the dive butttin
