Ok, so I heard some really good news today and almost rushed out and bought Madden 09 again.
The news that caught my attention was;

- Franchise Progression / Regression (or lack thereof): The lack of higher numbers was a tuning value that I think everyone agreed was just too low. This has been juiced up so you should see more realistic progression now.
- Edited players don’t progress: Players were not progressing after their jersey number (or pretty much any other attribute) was edited. This has been fixed.

Two extremely important things for me as a Madden user.
But then I thought about it, he only mentions that they've increased progression/regression but doesn't mention whether players will progress after 3 years of progressing etc.
That was my main problem, players did progress a little, but it was for a certain time period.
For example after 3 seasons McFadden would be 90 OVR but then nothing would progress the next 7 seasons..
So I wonder if that will also be fixed?
ATM I think i'll wait for patch 2 to be released and read what users have to say before buying Madden 09 again.
But anyway well done to EA for addressing the Madden users requests
