I very rarely play franchise in any sports games. I get boreed playing a lot of games against AI. Most of my sports games are against others at home or on xbox live. I also don't have the time, patience or interest for all the player development, drafting, scouting, etc.

as far as the topic goes... im with the majority & waiting for patch #2 & updated rosters... i hope this isnt a reocurring theme with the madden franchise for years to come... i dropped about $500 a month ago to buy ps3 for a few games, madden being one of them & im now forced to wait for 2010 dev's to patch a game they didnt screw up...

i hope i didnt make $480+ mistake...

Other then a few Play Now games while I get a feel for the game, all I play is Franchise. Granted i'm really a "season mode" fan so I can play with different teams, so Franchise is my only option! Maybe if I had more time I would get into franchise, but now a days life just gets in the way too much. By the time my season is over i'm already thinking of what team I want to try out next (guess it comes from my old Tecmo Bowl days).

The nice thing is I don't get stuck waiting around for patches and rosters... I just started playing right off the bat and when the new rosters/patch come out I will start up another season. Once you have a family it's funny how quick your priorities change.

The question isn't whether I play franchise... it's whether I want to play franchise. I only play offline franchise but this year is just to... well... BORING. Franchise is the lifeblood for me but Madden 09 franchise is terrible and as such I am playing NCAA again.
