Super Mario LB's

Is it just me, or does the A.I. LB's intercept the ball better than cornerbacks?

I've seen some LB's make 'spectacular catches', leaping into the air and stretching their body like Randy Moss or T.O. And on top of that they land on their feet as if they intercepted the football in stride!? I hate this!!

Why would that be called Super Mario LBs?

I don't get it...

I feel you on the spectacular catch aspect though. Sometimes that is some straight BS!

LOL. It's BS in many ways. 1) When I'm controlling a backer and try to int the ball they always make me drop it, but the A.I LB's always catch it. 2) You still cannot throw over these guys heads when your WR's are 8 yards behind them. 3) When my LB's go unblocked into the backfield and hit the HB while he is simultaneously receiving the handoff, the RB either stiff arms them to the ground Gregg Jones Style or just slips under them or runs them slap over. But when the A.I LB's come after my RB he folds like a little girl and gets lit up. What gives? Where are the physics? No way that RB should be breaking the tackle of my backers like that. And sometimes he will break the first, second and third guy. Something I will never be able to do. STRAIGHT BS. Can't wait to get back online.

I hate it too. It would have been better if they had the dude swat it instead, or atleast hit the floor after catching it.

Re: Super Mario LB's

I honestly don't think the "super LBs" are as much of an issue in this game as they were a few years ago. I am able to hit TEs and WRs over the middle even if an LB is back in coverage. Just put some touch on the pass and most times, it goes right over the LB's head. I've only seen a couple of leaping INTs, the others were all in close coverage.

Re: Super Mario LB's

You can't throw slants or in-routes at all. It's like an automatic pick. When did Brady Poppinga get a 42' inch Calvin Johnson vertical?

They didn't see this before they released the game?
