Slide Protection UP?

What exactly does hitting up on the stick when using slide protection do? I believe it used to spread out the blockers in last gen, but the current version says "aggressive." Does that mean that the blockers try cut blocks and the like? It doesn't look like their angles change when you hit up, so I'm not sure what the result is supposed to be.

Re: Slide Protection UP?

I thought that it meant the OL will be defending against the 'aggressive' pass rush to the outside, where the D doesn't care if it leaves running lanes open up front because they're sure you're passing...?
