Same here. Since switching over to the 360 from the PS2 several years ago I never start a Franchise until after the 2nd patch, as we all know that Madden has to be patched every single year a couple of times before it's worth starting a Franchise. Maybe they should think about hiring testers, cause undoubtedly it gets no testing whatsoever. What is it, about 3 days after release every year the consumers find all of the glitches and bugs? Surely they could spend 3 days themselves playing the game to find the problems, then they should have time to work on the patch that it will most likely need and have it ready to upload within a week of the game launching. Then we wouldn't have to wait nearly a 1/4 of the real season before we can start a Franchise.

Please, hire some testers! Heck, we'll test it for free. Looks like that's what we do anyway, lol.

I havent started yet....will wait for the patch and its "whats and ifs"...see how that turns out, then maybe start a Franchise.....actually ,other than watching a CPU vs CPU game to check out the graphics...I havent played it at all, saw no reason. Immersed in The Show.

I'm only halfway through my first franchise season, so I may very well start over.

I have a question guys...is playing time supposed to effect progression with patch #2? It would sure be nice to have a good reason to bother with playing the pre-season games.

Re: Are you going to Start Over when the patch comes out?

I'm only on my 3rd game of the season in my first season with the Vikings and I am 0-2 like in real life but I'm deciding to restart.

What I'm gonna do is download a recent roster update and have Tarvaris play the first two games of the season and start the year off the way the Vikings did. Then I will play week 3 of the dynasty monday night and go from there. That way it will be like bringing the Vikings back from their horrendous and embarassing 0-2 start.

It should be fun.

I am pretty much done. The things i dont like cant be fixed with a patch. I will see what they did to it, but when my nephew gets his 360, i am giving the game to him. I played it once in the last 4 weeks.

Yeah I kinda agree.

I REALLY wish they could have fixed the running game and the horrible CPU AI in this patch.

The devs. need to sit down next year and go through EACH team's tendacies and playcalling habits and try to translate this into the game.

Also, the oline and dline interaction needs to be overhauled 'completely' along with the lack of real NFL atmoshpere while playing the game.

And for goodness sakes, can EA finally put in a boat load of underthown/overhrown and errant pass animations next year?

I mean I could go on.....but the bottom line is that the game is MUCH further away from capturing football than I thought when I 1st purchased it almost 2 months ago.
