Yeah. Not being able to go up and get the ball is quite annoying. I like the ncaa style of catching.

Let us strafe catch is offline please. and spec catch too. and rocket catch too. Heck let us catch the damn ball.

How about reading the defense and finding a WR who's separated from his defender or has gotten wide open in the zone?

^^ Incorrect -- strafe catching did, in fact, leave on hardcore mode...

...and I have to play on hardcore mode or I see crazy annoying ridiculous blue squares in the end zone. talk about lack of immersion!

These types of problems would be easily solved if there was a more in-depth options menu where I could simply toggle on/off the features I don't like.

hmm whats the difference between advanced and hardcore and all those you can choose right before you start?

The difficulty setting is seperate from Advanced/Hardcore. The hardcore mode takes away the blue celebration squares, removes strafing, eliminates button hints on screen text, doesn't allow any rewinds, and doesn't show backtrack.

I like it because I hate the unnecessary icons and blue sqares. I'd rather there be no extra icons/graphics on screen, they tend to spoil the imersion factor for me. Obviosly I'm okay with passing icons, yellow 1st down lines, and the green ring around my selected player, because I can't imagine how to play without them...

I really miss defensive straffing though.
