Try this, if nothing else, it cant hurt

Spyder told me to try this, and it has worked thus far.

when the highlights box pops up at both halftime, and at the end of the game, WATCH every highlight full screen.....it takes less than a minute, and has worked for me. I have a feeling the problem with the game freezing has something to do with exiting the highlight pop up too soon.

Before doing this, post patch, the game was freezing at the end of a completed game 100% of the time, but I was imediately pressing circle to close the highlight pop up box. (I play on PS3)

Since I have watched every highlight, the game has yet to freeze on me once.

If nothing else, its worth a try

This method does nothing but only help with the speed of the menu system and play selection. Other then that, it's still Madden 09 as what most of us have seen it. Good try though, sorry it didn't work for some people.

Yeah I usually watch the highlights in full screen but it was still freezing. Sometimes it doesn't even get to the highlight screen before freezing.
