IAN Video Proof of what NEEDS to be changed about the passing game

I don't know if this is easy to implement in a football videogames but it seems easy to me. Most of football is about speed and timing(elementry I know). I know you have all heard that a Lb's first step is crucial to him making a play or being out of a play. If that can get implemented first, I think that would fix alot of problems.

For instance, when I run a stretch play to the right and a OLB overpursues, the only tackle he can even attempt to make would be an arm tackle to his right. This should be football 101. I remember back in my playing days, there was one play in particular that should have been a 20 yard play but was turned into a 60 yard catch and run just because of one cut I made. After I caught a pass and headed up field, a LB almost had me pinned against the sideline. I saw his momentum and cut to his left because he overpursued. That allowed the long run after the catch.

When a defender overpursues that can be the difference between a loss or a big gain. Once a player makes his commitment, his speed and momentum already takes him out of the play. This is where all next gen football should have started because that is the one of the fundamentals of football outside the trenches.

By the way I tried to do my temporary fix to get it so they would have to play direction changes, and it didn't quite work as expected...so we've got to do a little more work and research on it. Rest assured it's still a high priority though.

Ian also something to do with the passing which is in NCAA and Madden. SOMETIMES when in M2M lets say for example the outside rec goes in motion towards the QB and does a slant or a drag route. Now lets say the TE is doing a corner or a out route on the same side as the rec . Well the corner will stay with the rec UNTIL the TE crosses him then(this is what happens but it should not) THe corner will switch with the Saftey/Lb who ever is covering the TE. Its kind of like a zone in Basektball. Even though your in M2M it seems as though if close enough the Defense will switch man to who ever is close to them. The problem is I cant seem to figure out what causes this. I dont know if its a certain D called or what. But I hope I explained this if not let me know

What are you talking about Ian? Direction changes? Was this being talked about previously?
