Can We Get Over The DLC Already?

The issue is that playing one game a week is not sufficient enough to be competitive at this game. Play one game a week and get owned over and over while online. I am happy Ian is looking at this and I believe it will draw more people to the game. In 09's current state, do you believe it is worth and hour or more of your time?

lol...is that an indictment of 09's game length or quality? 09 tends to drag on because presentation isn't up to par and there are quite a bit of annoying little gameplay issues. It's not near as horrible as people make it out to be, IMO, but it's certainly not the immersive experience we all hope for. I don't disagree that having shorter online game options is a fair idea, but more to the issue of peoples time, not the state of the game. You make it worth and hour+ of your time and people will spend an hour+ on it (when it's possible). It's not to say it was a bad thing for Ian to bring it up (you can read my posts in that thread to prove it...lol), just that the games current state shouldn't be the reasoning behind it, IMO. Just fix the current state

To be totally honest with you I am going to have to say NO. Not because it is a timing issue but because of the lack of excitement and presentation in this game. The game is boring to me right now because every game I play feels the same. No loud crowd reactions/interaction, no chants of D-FENSE in a pressure packed situation, no cut away scenes to refs conferring after a controversial touchdown catch. Not seeing the Colts come out in a slow no huddle offense, or seeing Vince Young look to scramble after a few seconds in the pocket, or having to deal with the exotic blitz packages of Pittsburgh and Philly.

To me if the game had some life whether or not we need to shorten the game would be a mute point. I've only played a few games of MLB The Show and if I'm not mistaken it would take me about 45-1hr to complete a game. But you know what I didn't even notice it because of how engaged the game kept me and I'm not a die-hard baseball fan. I honestly think to play a meaningful game of football it is going to take around an hour to play. If you are looking for a quick online game experience Ian can simply give people options to play quicker games. This is not a huge deal in my book.

Man... it's nice to see such passion from the fans of the game. Let's see that same passion from the game developers. Ian's off to a good start... but he's not the end all, be-all. He still has to answer to someone. So lay off the guy a bit. I believe the intentions are there.

Nothing anyone can do but wait and play what they have in front of them now.

Personally, I have moved past the disappointment of the DLC not being released.

Of course I can only speak for myself, but I'm still trying to make the best of Madden '09'. I've had to use some "Workarounds", and a few house rules...but I'm back playing my franchise.

I sure don't blame people for being frustrated/pi$$ed. But as others have said....constructive complaints are really the only chance we have of seeing a better, more correct game next year.

The only way we ever see a truly good football game is either with some competition for EA again or we simply quit buying the same garbage they roll out every year.

Sales going down will cause them to rethink this thing.

Its just funny that a thread like this, which is put pretty well and in a respectful way, automatically gets a 1 star rating and a lot of negative attention. If it were the opposite and it was just someone complaining about the game there'd be a bunch of "I toataly agree with you on all points" etc. People just love to complain, and no where is that more true than the internet.
