All players have seen a drop in performance, although not immediate. Sometimes its an immediate injury in pre-season, or an injury a season later. ANd it is always accompanied with a drop off in stats.

Favre's stats nose dived this season. And with an upcoming MRI, he's career is probably over.
And how about Vince Young who was a promising young lad now is second string and wanted to kill himself at one point. That is one pretty powerful curse.
