I don't think Madden deserves much praise...I think you pretty much get what you deserve, and that is the reason for all the hatred. All of this talk about improved presentation for 09 is the last thing we need to praise madden about if we really want them to step it up for 2010.
Everyone keeps saying that 09 was a huge step in the right direction, and that presentation was vastly improved. I just dont see it. They added a stupid outside stadium shot that was done in the cheesiest way possible by having the tree branches move out of the way as it zooms in, the changed the pre-snap camera...but not to anything that resembles a TV broadcast in anyway (in fact the only close-up we get is of an offensive lineman making his way out of the huddle which repeats over and over), they made cheesy, futuristic looking layovers, and they added a repetitive backtrack feature. Those are really the only differences, and this is what they called "beyond broadcast". How can something be "beyond broadcast" when it falls so short of even being anywhere near as good as broadcast. Also, they should just stop with the whole "beyond broadcast" thing when I think all people really care about is broadcast, and if you give us that we would be alot more happy than with half assed "beyond broadcast"
So while I guess you can say they made an attempt at improving presentation, I don't really think this shows them moving in the right direction or having improved presentation...I think it actually just shows us even more how EA Sports just doesn't get it.
