Re: HB Stretch/Toss... Help

It won't work if the CPU is in any type of zone coverage. If they're in man, send the receiver in motion to the opposite side you want to run and take a wide angle. I actually get most of my big runs from stretch and pitch plays.

I'd agree with that, only use sprint when you must.

Pretty much nothing you can do because the O-line play is awful on toss plays or pitches.

Just take the loss of yards and wait to break a big one through the middle, my big runs always come courtesy of runs up the middle

Re: HB Stretch/Toss... Help

I broke 300 yards twice in two games with adrian peterson on heelfan's sliders.

i can regularly get 200 yards on the ground in any game.

Pitches and stretches can be really good for nice long runs, but sometimes the defense magically breaks the blocks.

My rule of thumb is lay off the turbo until the ball is handed from the QB to the HB.

What are sliders? And better yet what are heelfan's sliders?

I use these.

http://www.operationsports.com/forum...ers-360-a.html

And can regularly get 150+ yards in 7 minute quarters with Adrian Peterson. ( I supersim defense coz i'm annoyed with CPU taking 10 seconds every play to snap the ball)

Works for both 360 and PS3 for madden 09.

Re: HB Stretch/Toss... Help

However, I use the Generation 3 offensiveplaybook.

This may be a symptom of the Cpu defense knowing my play, but in this playbook, there are only 2 single back formations. SIngleback trips, and singleback 5 wides.

I come out in singleback trips, and the defense comes out in the quarter defense like every time. I audible to a run draw. And can regularly get massive yardage this way.
