HB Stretch/Toss... Help

Currently doing superstar mode as a HalfBack and when ever the coach calls for a HB Stretch or Toss or Pitch ect. where I get passed the ball and have to run wide.

I always get cleaned up for a loss or on the line.

How am I meant to gain yards on these plays? Sometimes I manage to cut in but that only sometimes works otherwise I always lose yardage...

That's about all you can do. The blocking on pitch plays isn't great, and as all the coaches say the whole point of the pitch is to get outside just long enough to turn upfield.

that is something that sucks about this game. I have a 99 speed running back it superstar mode and can only get yards on stretches and pitches when I break a tackle. I can't get to the outside even thought I am 99 speed. It is stupid.

be patient for your blocks or it depends what defense your opponent is in

I find as many have said before that the turbo button = evil when trying to catch blocks on a pitch / stretch.

Don't be tempted to gun it across the field to get outside. Run it w/o turbo until you see the opening caused by your line picking up the LBs / DEs and then slam it upfield

I agree with this guy. Turbo makes the cpu magically break their blocks. Just lay off the turbo until you actually get to the outside.

I always try and gun it to the outside, I'll try not using it and waiting for the blocks later when i play

This still isn't working... Its really stupid aswell since I don't call the plays...
