Re: Are there minimum roster requirements in the NFL?

I think the reason Madden has these requirements is because of the depth chart limitations (players are limited to certain positions, an LT can't be in at CB).

Hopefully with the success of head coach we get some real nfl roster (45 gameday roster) and some other cool things like variable ratings based on the coach.

Mike Ditka once had to start "Sweetness" at QB due to injury and evidently he was the best punter you have never heard of, well you have heard of him put Ditka wouldn't let him punt for fear of a riot if he got hurt punting! Some of Walter Payton's former teammates have said they never had a punter who could out punt him while he was on the team.

Yea, I know that is kinda randomn but interesting, no?
Yeah, Graham Gano is really what NFL scouts should look for, plus he isn't that bad of a runner either (broke off like over 20 yards against BC on a 4th and over 10)

But, I don't understand Madden's thinking, thats why i like NCAA where sometimes you just dont have a Fullback or 3rd Tackle or even a 2nd!

I agree. Tom Matte (fairly famous Colts RB) started a couple of games at QB. Randle El was the backup QB for the Steelers for a game or 2.
