Sideline catches

Can we get some animations for this in Madden 10 (2010) please? I'm not asking for a lot. Just the WR to drag his feet on an out route near the sidelines. I'd love it on any sideline catch, but I'll give EA that might be hard to program.

Just make my WR do anything other than continue in the same running animation which continues to keep him from getting two feet in-bounds when he could have clearly done so.

Re: Sideline catches

Well atleast when I'm playing Superstar (Haven't noticed this for franchise yet) my TE occasionally drags his feet when needed. This is pretty rare though, and probably has something to do with timing ect.

As I said not sure if it happens in Franchise mode.

Re: Sideline catches

The Playstation 2 version does this amazingly. Almost all catches near the sideline out of bounds turn into a toe drag catch. And Its done well also. Just incoorperate that into next gen and we'd be golden. But the more animations the better.

Re: Sideline catches

95% of sideline catches are toe drags in NCAA) 09.

I throw to the sideline without fear.

In madden, i'm really hesitant because 95% of the time, my dude will do something stupid and catch it out of bounds.

Re: Sideline catches

I remember EA hyping sideline catches in Madden 08 .. they were barely there then, and we're more than lucky to see one now. What happened?

They should be there for almost EVERY catch at the sidelines .. everyone does them .. receivers, backs, FULLBACKS, hell, I've even seen a linebacker jump high into the air, pick the ball off, and drag his feet on the turf on his way down and stay in bounds.

Re: Sideline catches

Apparently players don't recognize the sidelines?

Yep. Just one more reason why the PS2 version is superior.
