How Do You Guys Control You Off-Season

Now that the season is basically over i plan on starting my Real madden franchise, i usually like to play my franchise after the season to get my football fix in and i have alot of free time

what i do in my franchise is

1. Simulate the real NFL season, then pick on of the top 5 worst teams

2. I control all 32 teams and do all the free agency signings and everything
The signing limit i have on every team 1 90+ 2 85-89 2 78-84 Unlimited for
anything below 77. Also you can choose to franchise a player, that doesnt
add to those limitation

3. Control Free Agency, once i get to the free agency i check every team
and their players to see what they need and whose a free agent
- I then go and proceed to put teams down on paper with what position
they need in free agency
- Say the Ravens, Raiders, Texans, Saints, Packers need a quarterback
and theirs only 2 good quarterbacks in free agency, i go to a random
generator and put 5 numbers into it and whichever 2 come up get to
battle for the player, and whoever loses gets the next best player

4. Draft is the fun part. With all my notes ive taken down, i then add the
free agents that were signed.
- I then watch the College All-Star Game
- Do all the drills that im allowed to, just for my team im playing with
- I then create a draft board for each round with 10 players each in that round that i would
wanna draft for the team im controlling
- I then draft for every team
-Just so i can keep is real and not allow myself to get the player i want
for teams that need a player but their isnt a good enough one to draft i
pick the 3 next top positions that are need. I then do another radom
number generator of the top 7 players at the position to select the
player, this is usually done after round 1

Example Round 2 the Packers need a DE, WR, CB. I put those numbers in a random number generator, and the number for CB comes up. i then put the numbers 1-7 in a random generator, and number 5 comes up, i then select that player for the packers sure the 4 players ahead of him may be better but the randomness of the draft is what makes it fun.

5. I sign all the rookies to the teams. If you noticed round 3-7 picks all have
3 year contracts. Players picked between 3-5 usually get 4-5 year
contracts

6. Go on to the season and do drills for players that had great years that
didnt progress. Example Lance Moore had a pro bowl year, but is only
ranked as a 77 OVR so i do the training camp drills to boast his rating

7. I play the games for my team, and simulate all the other games and play
the game of the week, only if it doesnt consist of a division team

8. YES I KNOW IM A NERD BUT ITS SPRING SEMESTER AND ITS BORING AND NOTHING ELSE TO DO SO I GOTTA GET MY FOOTBALL FIX IN

An Entire offseason takes me about 1 day to complete, and usually on the day of the off-season i go home from college- Hour Drive and do the off-season

That's cool! I don't have nearly that much patience, unfortunately. I usually just stick with my hometown Browns team, let the CPU manage the other 31 teams, and get irritated when the big market teams sign all the big-name free agents, whether they actually fill a real need or not. Then I usually skip the Senior Bowl because I have no patience to play with a bunch of players I probably won't draft, go through the draft picking the top players available that I feel will fill holes in my roster, sign my picks, and start playing the next season. I suck...
