Re: Time to set some forum ground rules

I'll add to this thread a bit with some advice.

If you can't find a thread you started, check over in the Wishlist forum. I've been doing a little bit of cleaning and moving threads around to their appropriate places.

And a reminder to use the wishlist forum for any ideas you have for future installments of Madden (Madden 10). Whether it be from graphic ideas, to fatigue, slider issues. It can all be found there.

Have a great day!

Ground rules, ok I am cool with that - but like some people on here said, why not have a thread where we can have arguments just for the heck of recreation?

perfect thread name: 2Koalition vs Madden Nation

One sided arguments are recreational?

Game wars and/or Bashing are against the Terms of Service here at Operation Sports. To create such a thread/forum would be against the rules.

Bottom Line:

It's not going to happen.

While you're at it how about a temp banning of anyone who starts a thread "Hey Ian fix..." or "Ian, I know how to make XXXX better"

Why? I thought that was the point of him coming here in the first place?

Just saying... don't get TOO elitist...

that's why there is a wishlist forum...it doesn't belong in the main madden forum.

I actually disagree to an extent.

The purpose of the wishlist is to request features/concepts for the upcoming Madden. Many of the "Hey Ian..." threads are more detailed wishlist type ideas about how to improve certain concepts or implement/expand certain features.

It's not as organized as one might think to have every idea packed into one thread. This is why (presumably) the mods created the subforum for these ideas.

So, I do agree that they should be where they belong: the wishlist forum. I just don't think banning people for creating such threads is necessary if they are generally trying to be productive.

I think a little more tolerance for something like that (seeing as the subforum is relatively new and we are constantly getting new members) makes sense. It's not really the same as people constantly trying to have their little game wars and such.

Now, if someone is blatently cluttering up the main forum with useless, repetative threads all the time, that's clearly different...particularly if they've been warned or what have you for such actions before.
