I start off doing franchise like the real NFL with the Real Superbowl and superbowl winner and then after that I will do the offseason like the real one and after that? its fair game.

I start my franchise as soon as I get the game, so no need for simming the first season. I never trade for players only draft picks. I can resign who ever I want and in FA I only sign players I intend on using - no picking up players and trading for draft picks, even then only to 1 year contracts so I can try fill thier position via the draft. For the most part I keep my core players and use the draft to fill holes and replace retired players. Some players that are old and decreasing I keep and play in certain packages etc. I always make sure my franchise players retire with the team.
