Well I think it should cheat a little just based on the percentages. Why do coaches punt on 4th down? Because the odds they will convert is heavily against them, not to mention the field positon. So I think that needs to be simulated in some way, especially when your defense is in the right postions to make plays.

Now you are giving online scum way too much credit. YES, I actually can tell what they are going to do on 4th down. Most online players playbook consist of a handful of plays. So guessing right is not that hard, atleast it isnt for me. I just want to be rewarded when I completely sell out on a call I predicted and got right.

I like fair play, I just don't like it when the other guy can no huddle and I cannot. They pull the plug with a few seconds left and I get no stats and wasted 45 mins.

When in reality , its statistically more reasonable to go for it every time.

my opinion is that the chances of converting a 4th and 10 on your own 20 are not good enough to justify NOT punting.

i'll try find the stat that makes going for it on 4th down every time make more sense than punting.

That doesn't tell the whole tale though. Coaches are more likely to go for it on forth down in many points of the game if their is only a few yards to go, they're confident enough, and your between that zone of too far to kick a field goal, but to close to punt since a touchback can be done easily.

exactly...even if the stat says you convert 50% of the time, if you are in your own territory, that is too much a risk to give it to the other team the other 50% of the time.

You will never convince me that going for it every fourth down is worth while.

Going for it it part of the game...u play to win the game!...and u cant onside kick or fake punt or kick in fair play...which is a huge part of the game!
