He never said everything you see on Sunday, you'll see it in Madden 10. It's just the vision of the future of the franchise as a whole and Madden 10 will just be the first stepping stone on the way to achieving the team's vision. That's my interpretation, it's describing what they want from the series as opposed to promising everything for Madden 10.

It's a bold statement, but they have to set the bar high, especially with such a demanding fan base (which is a good thing). I hope that they make huge strides this year and bring Madden up to the level of quality of some of the other great sports titles out there.

Im hoping they mean presentation, hopefully a sideline reporter added to the commentary for injury updates and coaches comments at halftime.More camera shots of the action on the sideline.Maybe even more stat overlays would be a nice addition. And please please let there be halftime and post game highlights, not clips.

If Ian and crew come through on there "Everything you see on Sunday" statement, it would be the biggest jump in a yearly video game ever. The amount of stuff they need to add and tweak is huge.

I hope they come through but I am not getting excited yet.

Re: Everything you see on Sunday...What do you think this means?

For me, the more telling quote was this:

Quote:
We aren’t about gimmicks; we aren’t about fluff; we aren’t about catering to glitchers or cheaters. We’re focused on emulating what you as an NFL fan are used to seeing on TV, and what many of you players and coaches have seen on the field.
I interpret that as a focus on making a game that emulates NFL football and the intricacies of the sport. Correctly stated by the OP as a "vague" statement, but a positive one nonetheless. What it may encompass will only be seen in time, but with that emphasis moving forward, we will hopefully see progress...
