What element of Madden 10 needs the most focus?

Following up on my poll to "Trim the fat" from Madden 09, what ONE feature/element do you feel is the most important for EA to focus on in Madden 10?

I think all of these areas are important, but none more than Presentation. After playing other EA sports games and NBA 2K9 I just cant get immersed in NFL Madden because of its lack of broadcast authenticity. I love football more than any other sport, yet it is my least favorite videogame. I really hope EA focuses heavily on making Madden 10 look and feel like the NFL I see on Sunday. : )

I put gameplay...it's always the number 1 thing for me, especially how the gameplay was last year for madden.

Here's to the best Madden ever! (hopefully)

I chose GAMEPLAY as well, but I have confidence this will be be completely overhauled since Ian is a gameplay guy. Presentation and Franchise are not far behind however.

Ian, since your promotion I realize you oversee the entire process. Is there one particular part of the game you directly work with the most?

FRANCHISE

Presentation is a close second. I understand there are issues with the gameplay, but every year there are gameplay adjustments, and nothing has been added to franchise or presentation in years.

Franchise is just boring to play. Sure, if the gameplay problems were fixed I'd have a closer to real-life experience and have a good time playing with my buddies, but if every game feels the exact same franchise gets old quick (this is because of presentation too). There is no incentive to play season after season... its bascially just a sequence of 16 or more "play now" games that all feel the same. The off-season and draft are not immersive at all (they should be like Head Coach 09)

Franchise mode is what a huge majority of gamers play the most. Without a solid franchise mode, I have no reason to play by myself.

Who put presentation and Franchise mode? You must sim your games in franchise mode.

The game is what gamers play the most. Next should be presentation.

I put franchise. I know that you may not be capable of looking at something from another person's perspective but please try to keep in mind that other people play games for different reasons and look for different things in games that what you do.

For me, it is all about Franchise mode. If the franchise mode is interesting and deep, it will make up for some of the other shortcomings. For example, I really enjoy this years game. In fact, the more I have played it the more I have enjoyed it even though I know there are lots of things that need to be fixed as far as gameplay and other things go, but if this game had a deeper franchise mode there is no telling how long I would play this game!

Franchise for me, with presentation a very close second. Gameplay gets addressed every year and I am one of the few who still plays Madden 09. I had to adjust to the game but I have and it is fun for me now. However, I play Madden to progress my team and no matter how good the gameplay is if Madden only offered single seasons I would not buy it. Thus, franchise needs some major attention along with presentation to keep the game from getting stale. But don't worry gameplay will always be there number one priority.
