question for Ian/Phil about ratings (bonuses)
Hey guys - first let me say it's great having you on this board. Things really seem promising for Madden 10.
Reading the last blog post about the ratings got me to thinking. I had an idea I want to run past you guys. Take it for what's it worth (if anything). In current Madden, when you sign a HC, OC, DC, STC, depending on who, certain positions will get an attribute jump. That's pretty neat.
Is it feasable that chemistry/continuity/player happiness can increase certain ratings of a squad? For example, an offensive line that's been together for a while, each *starter* gets a bump in run/pass blocking. A QB/group of WR that's been on the same team for awhile - there route running awareness gets a bump. LB's that have been together a while - they can read defenses easier.
As soon as you change up one of these starters or bench one, those *bonus* points on the ratings take a hit. The opposite can also be true....high turnover on a team, and all of those ratings go down.
