Re: This quarterback delay is killing me

It would be better if the CPU QB hiked after two seconds of me not inputting any pre-play adjustments, as long as the play clock and situation permit.

Why would they not take this into account,it was never a problem in any other previous Maddens,Playmaker was added I believe for user vs user,if you need to use it against the computer, that is just too funny.EXample-why would any1 playmaker an end to QB contain when the computer is never a threat to take off running with their QB(maybe if teams had identity),now you would definetly need it against another user now you know as I do that most users hold that A button to get their team faster to the line to call hike, another user is not gonna wait for you to get ready.ANYWAYS,you guys are missing the point,AGAINST THE COMPUTER,WHEN THE CLOCK IS STOPPED ON FGs,INCOMPLETE PASSES,OUT OF BOUNDS,ETC,ETC,IT IS ASSENINE TO SIT THERE AND WAIT FOR THE COMPUTER TO CALL HIKE,its a waste of time in a 5 minute game and to me its fregin boring.
-If you arent quick at getting your playmakers in against the computer, you will have a hard time getting them in against another user but thats not what my post was intentionally about.

The reason you need time is to make adjustments because of the offensive formation. Sometimes, you need to change zones or the assignment of your defense to account for uncovered receivers or holes left in your coverage due to a blitz. IRL, these adjustments are made by making a check, in madden, you need to adjust each individual player that needs to be changed. This was patched because MORE people wanted MORE time.

So I would never want to manually blitz a man? Never want to double cover a WR? Never shift and overload a side? Never drop a lineman into QB spy (and just because the AI in 09 is garbage doesn't mean I wouldn't want to spy a QB). Never blitz a safety and drop a DE into coverage? Never want to get creative defensivly in any way, shape, or form? Just stick with the 50 plays given to me?

Even againt human opponents snapping the ball immediatly, you still have the time necessary to make at least two adjustments on defense.

Agreed.

Now we're making the cpu snap the ball late for people who are too slow to make adjustments.

yea...that's the reason..
Give me a break....have you ever watched an NFL game? I seriously begin to wonder....because if you have, pay special attention to the defensive shifts, and in some cases realignment from players.

It's amazing....we want the game to be geared more towards "sim"...so EA actually does something towards that, and people STILL complain!

I agree it's not implemented to it's fullest potiential, but having time to actually MAKE some adjustments is definitely a welcome change.

Re: This quarterback delay is killing me

Dude. I make adjustments too man. I'm aware of making adjustments before the play. I could make about 2 or 3 adjustments before the cpu snapped the ball.

I shift the line. Crash the line. Hot route my db into deep zones. Hot route my lbs to man up on the half back. Show blitz.

I do all of that stuff man. And I did whatever i wanted to do on that play in about 2 seconds.

I think you don't get it. You shouldn't be able to have time to adjust your entire defense. You can only ahve 2 or 3 max adjustments before each play.

This is not getting geared toward sim. Sim is not adjusting half the assignments for each defender before the play. Its make the necessary adjustments with the play you just called.

Don't call me out for giving my perspective.

I'm sure you've played football too mate. When your defense calls a run blitz, but you see them split out the running back and/or tightend, your defense does a minimal adjustment. You can audible or tell some dude to drop back or something. Defenses usually play the playcall.
