For me I definitly like random, I actually wish that your center had something to do with it. I ve wanted to see errant snaps, bad holds, blocked extra points, FGs, punts, and bad snaps in the shotgun. Some guys sit in shotgun all game long and there is absolutly no chance of a mistake from that point. How come sometimes in normal offense guys come free but never in punts?

Also I really like the polls because it shows the Devs that people care. If someone just opened a thread and it got buried right away they wouldnt even know anyone cared about this.

i kno right that's why i went and dug this thread up....honestly idk if devs even look at the poll type threads cause i havent seen any input from a dev on a poll type thread except the one the ian started about lead blocker....i've even asked him several times to check-out the playmaker thread and the hitstick one and still no response....i may be wrong he might have responded but i've yet to see it myself

Personally the kicking doesn't bother me. If kicking a field goal becomes high risk people will start going for it instead of taking the 3 points. This will hurt gameplay.

I agree special teams could use some work (though its way low on things I'd like to see improved). But I would hate to see it become to complex, as it would be more of an unwelcome chore to use.

I do wonder though, with the stats being revisited and players not having lower averages whether this will effect how easy it is to kick a FG?

Maybe a Kickers composure rating? or Kickers clutch rating? If the crowd gets loud, the longer and more important the game if they have a low Kicker whatever rating, they'll be more likely to shank it off Ray Finkel. The better the rating the better the chances.

The actual kicking itself could be a little harder but I dont really think that was the point of this thread. Its more about the little things that can reshape a game like bobbled snaps and holding errors.

And if they FIX the gameplay as far as defense goes i wouldn't care about someone going for it on 4th down because going for it on 4th down even now goes hand in hand. If someone goes for it and gets it your mad but if you make a stop and get the ball your happy so someone going for it doesnt make me super upset its just that the defense in Madden 09 is terrible and you have to adjust to too many things such as Strafe Catching,Deep Post Glitch and all 309830389 issues

If you tune the special teams sliders cant you adjust how hard it is to kick and adjust the distance that you can kick from? That should take care of that now we need some random wierd occurances.
