If you had Madden 10 how do you rebuild your team?

So if you had you're team right now how would you rebuild them?

Carolina Panthers:

1) Trade Peppers for picks - First of all this frees up much needed cap space, and the guy doesn't want to be here.

2.) Shore up the defensive line - Need to draft a DT who can replace Dameon Lewis. Kemo is fine as a run stopper. I'd have to draft another DE to replace Pep, which is no easy task. Tyler Brayton is fine where he's at, but Charles Johnson would be a better every down end with a little more polish. He is a slight liability against the run right now, and a better pass rusher than Brayton.

3.) Get another WR - Smitty is obviously #1, but Moose is in the latter half of his career, and Jarret still needs more work. Jake made some terrible decesions last year against he Cardinals, but Moose and Hackett were covered the entire game. We need another WR that can get a little seperation and won't take so long to develop like Jarret.

4.) Move Conner to OLB - Groom him to replace Diggs

5.) Draft or Trade for young QB - Groom him behind Jake.

The Raiders released Gibril Wilson, who was second on the team, I think, with 129 tackles. Captain Kirk had 135.

I just don't know where to start with this team. I don't think Cable's really fit to be a head coach and I think those last two wins really got him the job. Let's hope I'm wrong and he can carry some momentum...

If they made it like Head Coach where we could start in the offseason or before the draft, that'd be interesting, but I don't think we'll have either option.

With Housh and Haynesworth already spoken for, I really don't know where to go. I suppose I might go after Peppers, but then I have to find a backup at safety and - depending on if I were to start before or after the draft - I might go after Dawkins, but I wonder if he'd be okay starting at strong side. If he's not, and I sign him, I guess he can start at FS and I can move Hiram Eugene to strong, but what if he's not good there or it gives him a morale hit or something?

I'd draft Crabtree if he was still around at the 7 spot, and I'd draft Maclin otherwise. I don't know where to go from there, free agency-wise or draft-wise...

You should be fired for your blasphemy lol. Players like Anquan and Chad Johnson didnt want to play on their team but if you pay them they will play. Besides are you crazy there is no Dend in this draft/few in the NFL that can match up to the talent that Peppers has. At the Pro Bowl he dominated the best the league had to offer and I loved every min. of it lol

I agree that we need to pick up another DT and WR. I really could see us picking up Pat White with the 2nd pick to take care of the need to get a second QB/WR. Also Both Williams and Sterwart played in opition/spread(i think) offenses in college so adding White to the line up could really make our offense more dynamic.

Dan Connor was a steal last year. He may not be the most atheltic LB but he is a great open field, wrap up, hard nose football player and we need to get him out on the field.

Another spot not brought up was we lost our starting LG(i think) and replacing him for the run game is a fairly big need.

I'm with you on this one. There are maybe 4 or 5 4-3 DEs who can be considered as good as Julius and if actually reworks the line play and cpu qbs being forced to go through progressions at least in some respect so that pass rush really matters then as long as julius can be kept he should be kept.

Unless they rework the line positions you could trade peppers straight up for a 7th RD pick (the actual player selected) and not notice much difference.

If free agency and cpu ai is as bad as this year I wouldn't worry about building this season. Just get through it and then sign a group of free agents along the lines of drew brees, mario williams, wes welker, 2 or 3 90 ovr olinement, and whatever else is out there.

Trade Schaub for a QB with some mobility (Vince Young) and then draft a safety (speed and tackling) or cornerback (speed and man covergae). The only free agents I ever sign are offensive lineman., which helps out all aspects of offense. The rest I can account for with my stick skills.

First off If we dont end up with Warner I'd sign Jeff Garcia. I dont plan on throwing that much anyways. (would entertain M Vick if he is in the FA pool).

Then sign Duece McCallister to back up Gore.

Jason Taylor would fit perfectly as my Pass Rush OLB.

Don't get me wrong, I love Pep, and no one is going to replace him. This is kind of based on real life and not Madden. I don't think we're going to be able to resign him to a long-term deal, which would solve our CAP issues, so I'm probably going to trade him in the game and try to start over from scratch.

I don't mean to bash or anything like that, but why does everyone think Pat White is so great? He is Antwaan Randle El minus speed and hands. The Wildcat thing is so over-rated and over-glorified as a realistic offensive set. Go get Vick if you love fast players who can't throw a football and call themselves QBs, because like I said, Pat White can't throw well enough to be a QB in the NFL, but he isn't fast enough to be a reciever.

But being a Bears fan, I would take White over Orton to take snaps on Sundays. :wink:
