Idea on QB sneak from Ians Twitter

I enjoy following Ian's Twitter, and today he posted an interesting idea about QB sneaks. If I read it correctly he wants to have the user trigger an animation that makes the QB dive forward (the user would have no control over the QB) The outcome of the QB sneak depends on how much push your O-line gets.

Would love to hear everyones thoughts about this...

there is the exact quote. I like the idea as that is all a qb sneak is supposed to be anyway.

I'd like to see QB sneak specific animations for all buttons, but leaving the user in control. And of course, the outcome should mostly depend on the o-line push. It should still be up to the user to decide where to go and what to do... left, right, dive, push, ect.

This is probably the only solution that would make it realistic. I wouldn't mind this at all. Only drawback is it could turn into where they have to make the defense aware of it and then it turns into number crunching and you could probably tell before hand if it was worth calling or not depending on how well you know the stats of the players involved. But I still think it is a good idea.

Even goal line runs could use some work, they just never seem to capture the right feeling of it. Seems like your guy either gets through no problem or defensive line gets through and nails u for a loss. Would be nice to see a pile up at the line and a rb dive over. Get met in the air by LB once in awhile.

Yea this is a great idea but make it many animations with user control
EX:
- Snap and no touch of any buttons or movements = Straight lunge into pile
- Snap and A button + Left or right = QB leap left or right
- Snap and B button + Left, Up, or Right = QB lower head straight,left, or right.
No user control for B button base it truly on Push of oline
