Realistic Jersey Numbers...

Are we going to see realistic player numbers this year? Like if a player is drafted, traded, or signed and someone on that team already has his old number will it change to a number that fits his position? It was weird to see a linebacker bearing down on you wearing number 1, lol. Also if we import an NCAA draft class will we see their college numbers change to a suitable jersey number for the NFL? I think this is another small issue that i believe will make Madden more realistic. If i remember correctly one year the game had it down perfectly.

Here is a link explaining more what im talking about: http://www.jt-sw.com/football/pro/in...ts/0-jers-nums

Re: Realistic Jersey Numbers...

The game should also recognize retired numbers. It's annoying to play as the Dolphins and draft a WR who wears 13.

That would also be a nice addition.

they had it right in ps2 days, that is rather annoying to see a OL/DL with single digit numbers

Re: Realistic Jersey Numbers...

I have always agreed with this, been on every wish list I have ever made. I gave up with asking for the Game to automatically do it, I just changed my wish list to Letting the User's being able to Edit Every Player on every team once a Franchise is running....Jersey Numbers, Equipment, Body attributes and Names.

Now retired Numbers is something new....like maybe when you have that little room with the plaques in it, Let the User decide to Retire a players Jersey and it can hang in there....Cool Idea

I'd be fine with editing the number myself, as long as the glitch is fixed that erases the players info if you do so.

Yeah this is a real problem. I was playing in year 4 and the 49ers had a drafted Qb with the number 35. What QB wears the number 35? I've seen RBs with single digit numbers and D players with the same. Its a real problem.
