Whats with the players being so dark

I wish we could get the lighting from the 07 games... it was great. Then seeing MLB The Show's lighting really makes you jealous when comparing what we have right now in Madden.. The lighting can make or break the way everything looks.

I was looking at PastaPadre's comparison of MLB 2K9 vs The Show's player models, and it's a great example of how The Show's superior lighting makes so much of a difference.

With Madden 09 it wasn't just lighting but also the filter effects being used. One of the patches toned down post-effects so the field degradation can be seen better. I like the filtering, but I think the user should be able to tweak it. All the other EA Sports games have visual controls, why not Madden.
