Our conversation is prob best continued here. I wasnt meaning to come off as a loud mouth that was out to prove a point. You explained my train of thought best with turning the right foot at a 45 degree angle and making the move to the right.
Like I said before when I played soccer I would "open my hips and point my foot at an angle to turn" what would happen sometimes would be my cleats wouldnt stick into the ground because I tried to make too sharp of a cut to fast and I would fall onto my side. I was the only person on my team that ran like that. Madden should really try and stop being universal with its animations and capture several players running styles. We shouldnt see a QB with 60 truck be able to do the same trucks that brandon jacobs or AD can do.
You have your upright runners, you have your bent forward runners, and you have the laid back runners...Each IRL has advantages. An upright runner will be faster and is more balanced in the moves he can make. He is the balanced runner. A runner who runs bent forward is normally a power back and is best suited for up the gut smashmouth. A runner who runs laid back will use cuts, jukes, spins, ect better but isnt always that fast.
I think that the 2k series has 14-15 buttions that allow you to do different moves compared to maddens 8. This simplified version and universal set of moves makes for gameplay that is clunky and it reduces replay value because the move gets old fast. IRL running is fluid and involves total control and madden/2k doesnt have enough animations to even close the distance to sim running.

I know its backbreaker but this is how NG running should be like. Notice how players who dont have a good angle dont suck into a tackle "animation" instead they slide right off like real life. Look at the RB as he gets hit. He looks like a human being when he is nailed.
Guillotine 1, I have to agree with your first post....pre-canned animations will never have anything close to what happens in the game of football. You can get a pretty good game like 2k has put out by having many animations and making them happen with different players ect ect but...Its hard to be wowed when you run in Madden and throw up that truck stick and you see the same thing 3 times in a row...but the same applies for 2k its just a little bit more spread out.
