Your right...makes no sense when the main goal is sales...But if we are talking about a focus on QUALITY then it makes perfect sense...But I don't think the singular goal is quality...Its a mixture of economics along with quality...Ian and crew have to work within the confines of making sure Madden sells more copies than they did the year previous to 2010

The same can be said for going "sim." it will cost money to do many of the upgrades needed to changed the direction. Even with the better madden 10 the increase of sales from it, it wont match the cost of the upgrades. Hopefully they arent tightwads with their wallet. Money leads all. You right but theres always another way to look at it. just a thought.

Here's the thing; if Sony can release a great product such as MLB: The Show in a 12-month window, why can't EA? Forget about only having a new Madden every two years. It's not going to happen. Where would EA make up the lost revenue in those years where a new NFL game is not released? This is their best-selling game, a veretable cash cow.
