You are wrong about Eli Manning with this comment. The only reason why Eli is still in New York is for the simple fact that he got hot in the playoffs and made it to the super bowl and won it. They were calling for his and Coughlin's head before they made the run in the playoffs and both would have more than likely been gone had they not accomplished what they did.

And as far as Vick, ask yourself this. Who do you think Roddy White would rather have there now? Vick or Ryan? Would Vick have been able to do the same thing with possibly a less talented team than he had ever had?

Re: Official post your own Rosters and ratings

Brady I hope your attitude towards rating gets emulated in Madden 10. It'd help separate that rare player playing at legendary status and make us appreciate players with 90's. I never understood why the full rating scale isn't used.

What's wrong with rating an average player 50 a lower level player 25, above average 75 and legendary in the 90's?

I take these ratings very seriously (probably too seriously) and I wont just hand out 80s or 90s for the heck of it. Those areas are reserved for the upper echelon players. Currently, the league is filled with alot of average/nice players and about 12-15 great players. Unfortunately, many fans tend to overrate their own players and label them as great when they are just nice/average.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with evaluating a player and coming to the conclusion that he comes out as a 45. He is what he is. There are rare players in the league and they are employed by the teams that are good year in and year out.(Colts, Pats, Steelers)
