But coach Childress buckle and yanked him for no reason then brought in Gus F. who stunk up the field ,but they never bench him nope I wonder why? Guy F. gets hurt Tarvaris plays lights out against the NFC champs and play great every week except the last one and not so well in there playoff game. That Romo never saw because he does what he does and laid an egg against the eagles.

Tarvaris had average WR's
Romo two great WR's

Tavaris had a good TE
Romo had a Pro bowl TE

O-line was a push

So those stats mean nothing sir!

How long did it take the "great" Peyton Manning to bounce back for missing the offseason? 4 or so weeks

They hated on Tavaris Every media outlet was saying how bad he was before he ever really got to prove hisself. It was the totally opposite with Romo everybody was saying who great he was before he ever proved anything I wonder why that was?
That Tarvaris Jackson got benched for Gus Frerotte should be pretty telling of what the coaching staff thought of him at that point. When has Jackson ever shown the ability to lead an offense over an entire season? There's absolutely no track record to argue in favor of Jackson being better than the vast majority of starting quarterbacks in the entire NFL, let alone Tony Romo, who has been leading a Cowboys' passing offense which has been one of the better ones in the league since the middle of the 2006 season.

Further, if we're going to throw every conceivable passing statistic as well as win/loss records out the window, how exactly are we supposed to compare any two quarterbacks, let alone Romo and Jackson?

Finally, if Jackson is so great, why did Minnesota trade for Sage Rosenfels?

Tony Romo started 13 of the Cowboys' sixteen games this season; Johnson started two and Brooks Bollinger started the remaining one. Owens certainly didn't play with Brad Johnson "most of the year".

I thought he was injured longer. Aw well. But there is no denying that he still had a great season.

If Romo so great why did he miss the playoffs? Stats do tell alot but Jackson didnt play much thats why I said you cant compare stats ,but since you want to just go to nfl.com site and look at both of they're last 3 games of the season stats.

Teams make trade for QB or draft Qb all the time. I already mention the lack of respect for Jackson because he's a black Qb.

Romo is surrounded by talent both offenses and defenses yet not 1 playoff win in 3 years! Even Trent Dilfer won a superbowl and he was average as it gets.

Romo is a overrated or over hyped choke artist which is a shame because he seems like a really cool dude.

I agree with you 100%. Stats, gameday, wins/losses all add up to Romo. Also, Travaris plays with a good OL, TE, and 2 top 10 RBs in the NFL. He should be better even with average WR.

I agree with alot of what you said. But Travaris should start next year but still Romos the better QB. Travaris had a 95 PR and 9 TDs and 2 INT in 9 games. Hes comming around but needs to be more consistant. You can say all you want about Romo, choke artist, over rated, but when you see Brad Johnson suck vs the Rams then you know that its not all the players around him, he is a good QB on the verge of great.

Jackson played lights out football the first two weeks he got his job back and played well the last week. Not so great the playoff game but still not bad.

Romo faced a win and your in game and looked like crap! And you guys are praising him? How can anybody jusitify Romo making the pro bowl is 1st year as a stater he barely played and was only above average. He gets his credit for being a media darling and dating Jessica Simpson but he is above average QB at best.

Even Manning has bad days. I know Romo played bad that 1 game and he does have trouble in big games but we are talking about overall. Romo played bad in a big game but great outside of that, the opposite goes for Travaris. Your comparing 1 game out of 16.
