You know, I think you are on to something here. While I know we have had gang tackling [2 guys instead of one] since Madden 03, a true gang tackling system and dog piles and the like would be fantastic. Ian did comment before how they had ben toying around with the idea of pile ups in Goal line and short yardage situations but testing proved futile previously becasue a runner could/would just run sideways as people were all ganged up and collition detection made for easy, abuseable TD runs.

Quite possiby we could be seeing a real "pile up/gang tackling" system that would both be functional and great looking while not broken/abuseable.

P.S. Furthermore it would allow for better pass-blocking/pass-rushing

OK...pile ups sounds like a DOABLE and AWESOME piece of tech that hasn't been done in football games before . And it's certainly something that when we see we will notice immediately like Ian said. I think we may be close! Nice job putting those things together PG, I remember those comments when he made them.
