Re: Ian, Please Do Something About CPU Running!

Yea, I would say the dummy profile is most definitely the way to go. Thats what I'm using and I get pretty good games out of the CPU backfield.

I usually shut down the run as well. I lead the league every year in Rush D, but seem to be middle of the road in Pass D.

I do pretty good, but seem to give up a lot of homerun passes or runs.

I play on All-Madden with some custom sliders listed on the sliders board here.

The cpu running game and the cpu's lack of deep pass attempts have been broken in EA football games, for as long as i can remember.

The only CPU back who ever puts up numbers against me is chris johnson. I always hold the CPU to less than 50 and usually less than 30 and then CJ will come along and burn me for 150 ir so every time even though I stack 8 in the box every play against him

For Madden 10 I'm pretty sure they are bringing back cpu sliders. With cpu sliders there is no need to do the "dummy profile method".
Thank God. It's a feature that never should have been missing in 09.

Re: Ian, Please Do Something About CPU Running!

The biggest problem with the cpu running game IMO is that the AI is not smart enough to take the 1-3 yd gains. Its always bouncing around trying to break the big one, which lead to alot of Tackles for Loss (which is another problem). In the Nfl rb's settle for the 1-3yds way more than try to break the big 1.

Re: Ian, Please Do Something About CPU Running!

I have always thought the CPU play calling has a lot to do with this. They don't stick with the run.
