New Screens Constructive Criticism

I just noticed this, but why do almost all the chin straps come up player's faces?

That may be a little bit Nit Picky but it seems the Angle of the chin strap is funny, (it is somewhat hard to quite put my finger on it as to why) and seems like it needs to be closer to perpendicular and along the side of the helmet rather than a 70 (or so) degree angle that takes the chin strap along the face. It looks like the strap that leads to the top of the helmet should come from a lower spot on the chin.

Another example...

Also I still think that some of the facemasks are disproportional.

Im curious how the facemasks were made in Madden. There is an actual sense of distance and the angles don't change so couldn't you just take a helmet and make it exactly proportionate pretty easily?

Im sure EA has the resources to get their Hands on some helmets or at the very least get the measurements from someone.

Re: New Screens Constructive Criticism

I've always though the revolution facemasks stuck out too far off the face and the newer facemasks on the revo helmet (not in the game) are even a bit more closer to the face, the chin straps are fine i'd say they aren't like they were in 06 going directly over the players face but they are more out of the way finally and I don't think there is enough time to fix that by any means.

I think your proportional comment doesn't show a good example for your thought.

The best example would be the full cage 2 where the eye opening is much larger on madden and has 2 extra bars where in real life the eye opening is quite a bit smaller.

Overall I don't see the proportions being fixed but I do see the extra bars being taken off this facemask (along with the rb bull)

I think the chin straps are fine, id like to see an addition of the more than just one that they have though.

Yea that is another good example, I feel the exact same thing applies with the 3 bar RB facemask. The opening in the game is much wider than it is in real life.

In the game the opening is exactly the same as the one Kurt is wearing the picture, which Imo is much too open.

I disagree entirely....I think that's a fairly accurate representation of Kurt Warner....But hey, that's my opinion...

That is another good argument that I thought I'd highlight Robert Gallery in the game looks ridiculous.

Also Mr. Young, please note Gallery's model is wayyy too fat in the game currently. He is actually very athletic.

Agreed' the 3 bar rb is also a bit too open at the eyes but that, the rb bull and full cage 2 I would say are the only ones that need to be changed, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Another example, If you took Cassell's(?) strap that leads to the top of the helmet, and kept the ending location, but moved the starting point closer to where the bottom strap starts it may look a lot better.
