I'd go as far as 8tracks!

It no longer graces the disc tray of my 360...last I saw it, it was being used as a coaster under my sons sippy cup...hmmm...I did need a frisbee for my dog...ah ha!

Can you explain this a little further... I don't have a great eye for these things but I asked Ian specifically about dynamic lighting earlier and didn't get a response, although he did ask me to clarify my question further.

Sure, what I mean is this. You know how on your TV set you can choose several different options for lighting? Well that is an example of what I call a static effect. It is all inclusive, and fixed. It will not change. Unless you change it.

A dynamic effect is one that changes real time according to conditions/variables that are constantly changing. Whats so interesting about the appearence of illumination in these new sceenshots is this...

Low Light (or light in general) appears to be absorbed by the interactive environment. The light does not seem to be on the objects, or through the objects. It appears to have the quality of universal absorbtion by everything in the shot...giving the setting its own mood, and a much greater realisim. The minds eye believes this lighting is real when you percieve it.

In short, the lighting in Madden NFL 10 is not cosmetic...it comes across as true light, no matter how bright, dull, distant, or close.

Gotcha, so you aren't saying that we, in fact, have dynamic lighting this year based on these screenshots, but rather that the objects on the field are taking on the light being projected on to them from the stadium lights rather than having a painted on look.

Guillotine you just joined the list of people (including myself) that have praised a game before playing it, only to end up severely disappointed. To thank the devs for a game you have not even played yet is extremely premature.

If this game is truly that great, you will want to thank them a month or 2 after the release.
