If it's against a friend I take it

For a few years there All Madden was the only way to get Madden (PC/old gen) playing competitively, but it also meant a crap load of terrible games where the CPU would 'cheat' excessively. In these cases I'd usually quit and simulate the game until the CPU won, as that would have been the result otherwise anyway. The latest few Madden's on the old systems have actually had far better balanced All Madden modes and it hasn't been an issue really.

Yeah, I don't think I ever really felt "cheated" in Madden 08 PC. Strangely, Head Coach 09 does seem to cheat now and then:P

Re: How do you greet your madden blowout?

Me and three of my friends have a franchise we've played for 12 full seasons now. We have won the Super Bowl 1 time (ahh the good ole' days), lost in the Super Bowl one time (Bears had a sick QB/RB duo), and have been to the playoffs about 5 times. We have blown out some teams (never scored more than 50), and we have shutout teams twice. We have also been shutout twice, and after leading the Raiders 14-0 one time, the game suddenly froze.

This is bs we all said. My one friend who was QB said "I bet we get blown out now", as we replayed the game, we got our asses handed to us, 61-7. Their QB threw I believe 7 TD passes. It was a truly humbling experience, lol.

I give the developers credit with the way the game plays out. You win some, you lose some, you blow a team out every now and then, and you get blown out every now and then.

Our 1 superbowl win (which after tying the game with just under 1min to go, I intercepted a pass and took it 40 yards for the game winning TD with 13 seconds left) means that much more because it's not easy winning a SB. The computer is hella hard in the playoffs and you really have to be on your stuff to go all the way.

That said I hope anyone who gets beat accepts it for what it is, a loss. No matter how good you are you're not going to win every time.
