Anyways... I was the one who touched this off last year before the DLC talk. I asked specifically for the option to let the accelerated clock function for the whole game, with perhaps it going down to only 25 seconds in the last two minutes to account for the urgency.

The reason is two fold... the winning team shouldn't be penalized for being up by making that two minutes "more" than any other two minutes. Second, it more accurately recreates the NFL... NFL teams can't all of the sudden move at lightning speed just because there are only two minutes left.

I firmly believe the Accelerated clock needs to run for the full game... or at least give us the option to do this.

I wanna throw this out there so there's no misunderstanding: The accelerated clock does not exist simply for the sake of making 15 minute games go faster... it exists to simulate the time it takes for an NFL team to call a play and make substitutions between plays... thus, as xtremedunkz said, accelerated clock should run when clock management is most critical.

You basically said what I was going to say.

If its is active during the other parts of the game, it should be in the final 2 minutes too.

Why should you suddenly get MORE time when that is the time of the game when you're in a hurry?

I voted no, but I changed my mind. I think however, that less time should be taken off the clock since the offense will obviously be trying to hurry it up a little.

oh Ok, I misunderstood that. Either way, Hopefully this discussion will let you guys have that Option. Personally I am all right with the 2 minutes but that's just me.

Why not have an accelerated play clock in the final 2 minutes of each half? This would help add some urgency without making a two minute warning into a 'one minute warning' in actuality.

Yes, the option would be greatly preferable above all. Always is.

Unfortunately, that is not the option Ian gave us

Re: Acc. Clock in final 2 minutes?

Maybe I'm missing something too but if your going for the "sim" approach why wouldn't this be running in the last two minutes?

I know some might not like it cause if the CPU is in command within that last 2 minutes the Acc. clock plays against them, but hey you know some of those people will probably jump into the options menu and turn it off anyways . Then again that's why we have/should have options.

You already know that in real life if your opponent has the ball and their ahead, their gonna milk every possible second of that clock. Hockey, Football, Soccer, Basketball, whatever it's just what the team that has the advantage does. Why give the opponent back the ball/puck?

You know you want these ingame or something along this line.

Re: Acc. Clock in final 2 minutes?

I think I accidentally voted for the wrong option lol.
But I would rather it stop within the final 2 minutes of a half.
But as a lot of people are saying, there should be an option.
