Yeah, I've said it for years that I would love a franchise mode where, when I draft a player, I see that player's college highlights (2-3) mixed with commentary from the crew covering the draft.
I'd go a step further and suggest that I should be able to scout certain players at different schools during the regular season. Once the off-season begins, I should be able to watch highlights of these scouted players that my scouts created. I think this will help get the gamer more in tune to the players in the upcoming draft.
So, say, in week 13 of the NFL season, I send a scout to go check a top QB playing for USC in a game against...OSU. Sometime in the off-season, when I'm trying to create my draftboard, I should be able to see actual highlights from that game (since EA has the college football license, this shouldn't be an issue).
I think this will help a lot more, because as it stands now, we get three lines of info like "very versatile" or "hits like Derrick Brooks." But that doesn't give me any true insight. I'd like to actually see how he cuts, see how he blocks, see how he tackles. See his speed, see his quickness, etc.
I want to feel like I'm actually scouting players.

I've called for something similar before.
2K sports did it with the College Hoops show in their CH2K8. (i.e. put highlights of games that were only simmed by the computer)
Technically it can be done.
